Center fielder Devin Foyle helped the Snappers sweep their three-game series with Bowling Green and win their fourth straight on Friday. With two on, two outs and his team down by two runs in the top of the 8th, Foyle stepped to the plate and slugged a three-run homer to give the Snappers the lead. Starter Reid Birlingmair allowed 3 runs over 5 1/3 frames, and RHP Charlie Cerny was charged with the tying run in the bottom of the 8th. Left fielder Anthony Churlin singled twice and drove in a run in the 3rd, while second baseman Joseph Pena drew a pair of walks and scored the winning run on a throwing error in the top of the 9th. LHP Josh Reagan picked up the win after getting the final four outs for the Snappers.

Las Vegas suffered a late-inning loss to Salt Lake on Friday. Starter Jake Buchanan surrendered 6 runs over 4 frames, while RHP Miguel Romero was outstanding in relief, throwing 3 scoreless and hitless innings for the Aviators. RHP Trey McNutt tossed a scoreless 8th and left the game with Las Vegas up by a run, but RHP Ryan Dull gave up 4 runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Third baseman Eric Campbell singled and slugged a three-run homer, while shortstop Sheldon Neuse singled twice, doubled and drove in 3 runs for the Aviators in the loss. Meanwhile, rehabbing RHP Jharel Cotton was assigned to Las Vegas.

The RockHounds suffered their third loss in their last four games on Friday. RHP Brian Howard allowed 2 runs, just 1 earned, over 4 frames to take the loss for Midland. Second baseman Nate Mondou drew a walk and drilled his 3rd home run, while designated hitter Tyler Ramirez walked and singled in a run for the RockHounds in the loss.

Stockton suffered its second straight loss to Lancaster on Friday. Starter James Kaprielian allowed 2 runs on 6 hits while walking 1 and striking out a season-high 7 over 4 frames. Kaprielian threw 63 pitches, 45 for strikes, and Ports play-by-play man Zack Bayrouty reported that his fastball was sitting at 91-93 mph. LHP Will Gilbert gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of relief to take the loss. Third baseman Jonah Bride continued his hot hitting by singling and slugging his 8th home run to notch his fifth straight multi-hit game for Stockton. Designated hitter Trace Loehr homered, while second baseman Ryan Gridley doubled twice, and center fielder Mickey McDonald had a pair of hits for the Ports.

The Lake Monsters were shut out on seven hits on Friday. 21-year-old Dominican RHP Richard Jose Morban turned in another strong start, allowing just 1 run over 5 innings of work, but he still ended up suffering the loss for the Lake Monsters. Morban has now given up just 1 run over his last 15 frames for Vermont. 18-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz had a pair of hits, including a double, while this year’s 29th-round draft pick for the A’s, center fielder Michael Woodworth, singled twice for the Lake Monsters in the loss.

17-year-old Colombian center fielder Brayan Buelvas starred for the AZL A’s Green squad on Friday. Buelvas had 3 hits, including a home run, drove in a pair of runs and scored 3 times, while last year’s 12th-round draft pick for the A’s, left fielder Noah Vaughan, singled, walked twice and scored twice. 18-year-old Dominican shortstop Jhoan Paulino drew a walk and tripled in a pair, and 18-year-old Cuban catcher Marcos Betancourt singled twice and drove in 3 runs for the A’s. Last year’s 26th-round draft pick, RHP Leudeny Pineda, made the start and was charged with 6 runs, 4 earned, in 3 2/3 innings of work, while this year’s 34th-round pick, LHP Kumar Nambiar, tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for the A’s.

17-year-old Nicaraguan LHP Gerald Garcia made the start and surrendered 7 runs in 2 2/3 innings of work to suffer the loss on Friday. 20-year-old Venezuelan right fielder Rafael Rincones had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in a run, while last year’s 30th-round draft pick for the A’s, first baseman Gio Dingcong, singled in a run, walked and scored twice. This year’s 26th-round draft pick, shortstop Elvis Peralta, singled twice and scored twice, and designated hitter Nick Hundley drew 3 walks and scored a run in his first rehab appearance with the A’s.
