RHP Kyle Friedrichs turned in his second straight outstanding start to lead Midland to its fifth straight win on Monday. Friedrichs allowed 1 run on just 4 hits and struck out 6 over 8 innings of work to earn the win, and he’s now given up just 1 run and struck out 16 in 14 frames over his last 2 starts for the RockHounds. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez had 2 hits, including a double, drew a walk, drove in a pair and stole a base, while right fielder Chase Calabuig singled, doubled, walked and drove in a run for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, Midland outfielder Luis Barrera landed on the injured list and Stockton RHP Seth Martinez was reassigned to the RockHounds on Monday.

Las Vegas notched a one-run victory over Reno on Monday. RHP Parker Dunshee delivered a solid start, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 frames, and he left the game with a three-run lead. In his first rehab appearance, RHP Blake Treinen gave up 3 runs on 4 hits, including 2 home runs, in 1 inning of relief to tie the game, but he wound up picking up the victory after Vegas retook the lead. RHP Ryan Dull secured the save despite being charged with 2 unearned runs in the top of the 9th. Catcher Jonah Heim singled, homered and drove in 3 runs, while right fielder Mark Payton tripled, doubled and scored a run, and first baseman Seth Brown doubled, drew a walk and drove in a pair for the Aviators. Meanwhile, the A’s optioned catcher Beau Taylor back to Las Vegas on Monday.

Stockton hung on to secure a one-run win over Visalia on Monday. Designated hitter Ryan Gridley singled, doubled, homered and drove in 3 runs for the Ports. Starter Gus Varland gave up 1 run over 4 frames, while RHP Nick Highberger allowed 1 run in 3 innings of work to earn the win, and RHP Peter Bayer permitted 1 run in 2 innings to pick up the save for the Ports. In other news, Stockton RHP Seth Martinez was reassigned to the RockHounds, while Snappers pitchers Eric Marinez and Michael Danielak were promoted to the Ports, and Ports pitchers Sam Sheehan and Pat Krall were released on Monday.

RHP Reid Birlingmair turned in a solid start, allowing 2 runs on just 3 hits over 6 innings of work, but he left with the game a 2-2 tie. Center fielder Devin Foyle doubled and homered, while designated hitter Nick Ward singled and then homered in the 8th inning to provide the margin of victory for Beloit. RHP Brandon Withers tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, while LHP Ty Damron tossed a scoreless 9th to notch the save for the Snappers. Meanwhile, RHPs Eric Marinez and Michael Danielak were promoted to the Ports from the Snappers on Monday.

19-year-old Puerto Rican RHP Osvaldo Berrios turned in a strong start on Monday, allowing just 1 run over 5 frames to earn the win, while RHP Alex Pantuso threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to secure the save for the A’s. Shortstop Elvis Peralta singled twice, while first baseman Gio Dingcong doubled for the A’s only extra-base hit in the win.
