The Aviators put double digits on the board for the second night in a row to notch their second straight victory on Tuesday. Second baseman Franklin Barreto had another big night at the plate, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the 1st inning to give his team an early lead, while singling, tripling and scoring 3 times on the night. Center fielder Dustin Fowler tripled twice, scored twice and walked, while right fielder Seth Brown belted a two-run homer and doubled in a pair of runs. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse singled twice, walked twice and scored twice, and designated hitter Corban Joseph clubbed a two-run homer for the Aviators. Starter Paul Blackburn gave up 4 runs over 6 frames but still ended up securing his 7th victory for Vegas.

This year’s 4th-round draft pick for the A’s, designated hitter Kyle McCann, hit a two-run homer and drew a pair of walks in his Vermont debut, while second baseman Nick Ward singled, walked and scored a run, and 18-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz doubled in a run for the Lake Monsters in the loss.
