After dropping seven in a row, Stockton won its second straight on Saturday. Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros tagged his team-leading 4th home run in the 1st inning to give Stockton an early lead it would never surrender. Armenteros also doubled in a run in the 5th and drew a pair of walks in the game, while first baseman Alfonso Rivas had 3 hits, drew a walk and drove in a run, and right fielder Mickey McDonald singled twice, stole a base and drove in a run for Stockton. Starter Brady Feigl allowed 3 runs over 6 innings of work to earn the win, while RHP Sam Sheehan tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and LHP Pat Krall got the final three outs in the 9th to pick up the save for the Ports.

Las Vegas lost its fourth straight to El Paso on Saturday. RHP Tanner Anderson endured a rough start, allowing 7 runs over 5 2/3 frames to suffer his 2nd loss for Las Vegas. Center fielder Skye Bolt homered for the second straight night, slugging a two-run shot in the 4th, while right fielder Tyler Ramirez socked a solo shot in the 5th, and shortstop Jorge Mateo tripled and scored a run for Las Vegas in the loss.

RHP Brian Howard turned in a solid start on Saturday, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 6 over 5 frames, but he still ended up suffering the loss for the RockHounds. Left fielder Luke Persico singled twice and walked twice, while right fielder Greg Deichmann and first baseman Anthony Miller each singled and walked, and designated hitter Jonah Heim drove in the RockHounds’ sole run with a sacrifice fly on Saturday.
