RHP James Naile turned in an outstanding start on Sunday to help the RockHounds snap their three-game losing streak. Naile allowed just 1 run on 5 hits over 7 innings of work to earn his 2nd win for Midland. RHP Norge Ruiz tossed a scoreless 8th, and RHP John Gorman got the final three outs in the 9th to record the save for the RockHounds. Center fielder Luis Barrera homered, doubled in a run and stole a base, while first baseman Anthony Miller singled and drew a walk. Designated hitter Dairon Blanco doubled and scored a run, and second baseman Nate Mondou doubled in a run for the RockHounds.

The Aviators saw their six-game winning streak snapped on Sunday. In his first rehab start for Las Vegas, RHP Chris Bassitt allowed 5 runs, 3 earned, on 5 hits over 5 innings of work. In the bottom of the 4th inning, right fielder Skye Bolt stepped to the plate and belted the first grand slam at the new Las Vegas Ballpark to tie the game. Bolt also singled in the game, while catcher Beau Taylor singled in a run, and shortstop Franklin Barreto singled, drew a pair of walks and stole a base for the Aviators. RHP Ben Bracewell was charged with 1 unearned run in 2 innings of relief to suffer the loss for Las Vegas on Sunday.

Stockton had its three-game winning streak stopped by Modesto on Sunday. Starter Jared Poche allowed 2 runs over 5 frames to suffer his 2nd loss, while his tandem-pitching partner, RHP Daulton Jefferies, gave up 3 runs in 3 innings of work for the Ports. Shortstop Nick Allen doubled in Stockton’s sole run, while catcher Jordan Devencenzi had a pair of hits for the Ports in the loss.
