RHP Jean Ruiz turned in his third straight quality start for the Snappers, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, on 4 hits over 6 frames, but he still ended up being saddled with his 7th loss. And in 25 innings over his last 5 appearances, Ruiz is sporting an ERA of just 1.08. Starter Ben Bracewell was solid in his return to the RockHounds, allowing 2 runs and striking out 6 over 6 innings of work, but he still ended up suffering his 6th loss for Midland. First baseman Seth Brown collected 2 hits, including a double, while center fielder Luis Barrera doubled in the RockHounds’ only run in the loss. Meanwhile, infielder/outfielder J.P. Sportman was reassigned to the RockHounds from the Sounds on Monday.
