The Snappers got their fourth straight strong outing from a starting pitcher to help them win their fourth straight game and notch their twelfth victory in their last thirteen games on Wednesday. RHP Jean Ruiz made the start and allowed just 2 unearned runs over 6 innings of work to earn his 4th win for Beloit. Ruiz now has a 0.95 ERA over his last 4 appearances while Snappers starters have a 1.11 ERA over their last 4 games. RHP Jaimito Lebron allowed 1 run in 1 inning of relief, while RHP Joseph Camacho tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings, and RHP Seth Martinez got the final out in the 9th to notch his team-leading 12th save for the Snappers. First baseman Seth Brown singled and slugged his 9th home run in the 2nd, while second baseman Richie Martin smacked his 2nd home run in the 4th to complete Midland’s scoring on the night.

This year’s 4th-round draft pick for the A’s, first baseman Alfonso Rivas, and the team’s 23rd-round pick, third baseman Jonah Bride, notched the Lake Monsters only two hits in the loss.
