RHP Matt Milburn turned in another impressive start to lead Stockton to a six-hit shutout over Modesto on Monday. Milburn threw 7 shutout innings to earn his 6th win and lower his ERA over his last 5 starts to a measly 1.01. LHP Will Gilbert tossed a scoreless 8th, and RHP Angel Duno pitched a perfect 9th to complete the shutout as Stockton notched its fourth win in its last five games on Monday. First baseman Sandber Pimentel had a big night at the plate for the Ports, slugging a pair of home runs, a solo shot in the 3rd and a two-run blast in the 6th, to give him a team-leading total of 11 on the season. Center fielder Chase Calabuig singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while third baseman William Toffey had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair for the Ports.

Nashville notched a walk-off win over Omaha in extra innings on Monday. RHP Ben Bracewell turned in his second straight quality start for the Sounds, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 7 over 8 innings of work, and he left with the game a 2-2 tie. RHP Bobby Wahl took over in the 9th and struck out the side in order on just 10 pitches. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse walked twice, singled twice and drove in the tying run in the bottom of the 11th, while second baseman Melvin Mercedes had 2 hits and drove in the winning run with two outs in the 11th as the Sounds won in a walk-off on Monday. RHP Carlos Ramirez picked up the win despite allowing 2 unearned runs in 2 innings of relief for Nashville. Meanwhile, Sounds outfielder Jake Smolinski landed on the disabled list on Monday.

The RockHounds suffered their fourth straight loss on Monday. Starter Joel Seddon allowed 4 runs over 5 2/3 frames to take the loss, while RHP Corey Walter surrendered 5 runs in 1 inning of relief for the RockHounds. Shortstop Richie Martin reached base 3 times, on 2 hits and a walk, and stole 3 bases, while designated hitter Tyler Ramirez homered, and first baseman Seth Brown singled, doubled and drove in a run for the RockHounds in the loss.

The Snappers got their third straight strong outing from a starting pitcher to help them win their third straight and notch their eleventh victory in their last twelve games on Monday. RHP Wyatt Marks made the start and struck out 9 while tossing 6 shutout innings, and RHP Jesus Zambrano threw 3 scoreless innings in relief to send the game to extra innings as a scoreless tie. Catcher Skyler Weber and left fielder Lazaro Armenteros each had a pair of hits in the game and drove in a run in the top of the 10th, but RHP Nick Highberger gave up 2 runs, 1 earned, in the bottom of the 10th to tie the game. Shortstop Nick Allen then drove in the winning run with a sacrifie fly in the top of the 12th for the Snappers. Highberger picked up the win, while RHP Seth Martinez tossed a scoreless frame in the bottom of the 12th to tally his team-leading 11th save for the Snappers.

The Lake Monsters suffered a late-inning loss to the Tigers on Monday. 22-year-old Venezuelan LHP Jhenderson Hurtado turned in a solid start, allowing just 1 run while striking out 5 over 5 frames, and he left with the game a 1-1 tie. This year’s 10th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Clark Cota, tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, but 20-year-old Venezuelan RHP Oscar Tovar gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 8th to take the loss for the Lake Monsters. This year’s third overall pick for the A’s, shortstop Jeremy Eierman, hit a game-tying homer in the top of the 5th to provide Vermont with its only run in the loss.

This year’s 18th-round draft pick for the A’s, third baseman Cobie Vance, singled, walked and hit a three-run homer wth his team down by a run in the 6th inning to provide the margin of victory for the AZL A’s on Monday. 19-year-old Dominican second baseman Christopher Quintin singled, walked and hit a two-run homer, while this year’s 30th-round pick, first baseman Gio Dingcong, had 2 hits, including a double, and rehabbing right fielder Greg Deichmann tripled in a run for the A’s. This year’s 28th-round pick, RHP Reid Birlingmair, made the start and allowed 1 run over 3 innings of work, while 21-year-old Venezuelan RHP Jesus Monserratt threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and last year’s 32nd-round pick, RHP Caleb Evans, tossed 2 scoreless innings to earn the save for the A’s.
