First baseman Hunter Hargrove led the Snappers to a comeback win over Peoria on Saturday night. With two men on and the game tied in the bottom of the 8th inning, the 23-year-old singled to drive in both runners and provide the margin of victory for Beloit. Hargrove collected 3 hits on the night, including his team-leading 15th double. His 35 RBIs are also tops on the squad. Left fielder JaVon Shelby drew a walk and homered, while right fielder Mickey McDonald singled twice and doubled, and shortstop Nick Allen singled, tripled and drove in a pair for the Snappers. Starter Wyatt Marks surrendered 4 runs over 4 2/3 frames, while RHPs Seth Martinez and Nick Highberger combined to throw 4 1/3 scoreless innings in relief, with Highberger picking up the win for the Snappers.

The RockHounds were shut out on just four hits to suffer their eighth loss in their last nine games on Saturday. Starter Logan Shore gave up 2 runs, just 1 earned, over 4 frames to take the loss, while RHP Joel Seddon allowed 1 run in 4 innings of relief for the RockHounds. Third baseman Eli White singled, walked and stole a base, while center fielder Tyler Ramirez and right fielder Skye Bolt both doubled for Midland in the loss.

Stockton was shut out on six hits on Saturday. LHP Evan Manarino turned in a strong start for Stockton, allowing 2 runs over 7 innings of work, but he still ended up being saddled with his 2nd loss on Saturday. After starting the season on the disabled list, Manarino returned to action in late May, and he’s now put up a 2.52 ERA over his last 4 starts for Stockton. Center fielder Luis Barrera doubled to provide the Ports’ only extra-base hit in the loss.

Vermont was victorious for the third time in its last four games on Saturday. 22-year-old Venezuelan LHP Jhenderson Hurtado turned in a solid start for the Lake Monsters, allowing just 1 run while striking out 5 over 5 frames to earn the victory for Vermont. Designated hitter Payton Squier had another big night at the plate, notching 3 hits and driving in 3 runs, and the 22-year-old now leads the Lake Monsters with 19 hits and 12 RBIs in 13 games for Vermont.

19-year-old Venezuelan RHP Angello Infante turned in another strong outing to earn his 2nd win for the AZL A’s on Saturday. Infante allowed just 1 hit and struck out 6 over 5 1/3 scoreless frames, and he now leads the squad with 20 strikeouts in 16 innings of work so far this season. This year’s 32nd-round draft pick for the A’s, catcher John Jones, had 2 hits, including a double, drew 3 walks and drove in a run, while 17-year-old right fielder Danny Bautista singled, doubled and drove in 3, and 17-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run for the A’s.
