Tuesday, October 9th:
Second baseman Grant Green and catcher Max Stassi both doubled and RHP Shawn Haviland struck out 4 in 3 scoreless innings in the Phoenix Desert Dogs’ 4-3 opening day victory in the Arizona Fall League on Tuesday. Third baseman Miles Head left the game after injuring his wrist on a swing and miss.
Wednesday, October 10th:
A’s 2007 1st-round draft pick RHP James Simmons tossed a scoreless inning and RHP Gary Daley blew the save in the Phoenix Desert Dogs’ 6-5 loss on Wednesday.
Thursday, October 11th:
Grant Green went 0-for-4 as the DH and RHP Brett Hunter tossed a scoreless inning in relief in the Phoenix Desert Dogs’ 6-0 loss on Thursday.
Friday, October 12th:
Second baseman Grant Green had a pair of hits and catcher Max Stassi homered and drove in 4 runs in the Phoenix Desert Dogs’ 13-3 win on Friday.
Saturday, October 13th:
RHP James Simmons struck out 1, walked 1 and allowed 1 run in 2/3 of an inning of relief in the Phoenix Desert Dogs’ 8-3 loss on Saturday.
