Stockton took its second straight from Visalia on Monday. Starter Xavier Altamirano turned in a solid start, allowing 2 runs over 6 innings of work to pick up his 5th win for the Ports, while LHP Will Gilbert threw 3 scoreless innings in relief to secure the save for Stockton. Shortstop Edwin Diaz doubled twice and scored twice, while catcher Santiago Chavez singled and drove in 3 runs, and right fielder Greg Deichmann singled in a pair for the Ports. Meanwhile, Stockton shortstop Kevin Merrell was sent to Vermont on a rehab assignment on Monday.

The Sounds were shut out on just four hits on Monday. Starter Raul Alcantara allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, over 3 innings of work to suffer his 6th loss, while relievers Chris Hatcher, Jeremy Bleich and J.B. Wendelken combined to throw 5 scoreless innings in relief for the Sounds. Second baseman Franklin Barreto singled and walked, while center fielder Dustin Fowler doubled to extend his hitting streak to 10 games and notch Nashville’s only extra-base hit in the loss. Meanwhile, the A’s recalled RHP Daniel Mengden and sent RHP Chris Bassitt back to the Sounds on Monday.

Midland had its four-game winning streak snapped on Monday. Starter Norge Ruiz allowed 4 runs over 4 frames to suffer the loss, while RHP Heath Bowers tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief in his Double-A debut. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez doubled in the RockHounds’ only run, while second baseman Nate Mondou singled twice. Center fielder Skye Bolt doubled, and catcher Sean Murphy went 0 for 3 with a walk in his return to the RockHounds from hamate bone surgery. Meanwhile, outfielder Luis Barrera and LHP Cody Stull both landed on the disabled list on Monday. And in other news, infielder Richie Martin was named Texas League Player of the Week, and RHPs Parker Dunshee and Ben Bracewell were named co-Texas League Pitchers of the Week on Monday.

The Snappers suffered their second straight loss to Peoria on Monday. Starter Jean Ruiz allowed 4 runs over 5 1/3 frames, while RHP Seth Martinez surrendered 5 runs in just 1 inning of relief to take the loss. Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros and designated hitter Logan Farrar both launched solo shots, while first baseman Hunter Hargrove singled in a pair of runs, and center fielder Austin Beck singled, doubled and scored a run for the Snappers.

Vermont notched its sixth straight victory on Monday. Designated hitter Jeremy Eierman hit his team-leading 8th home run, a two-run shot, singled twice and stole a base, while second baseman Marcos Brito had 3 hits, drew a walk, drove in a run and swiped a pair of bases, and first baseman Aaron Arruda walked and homered for the Lake Monsters. Starter Abdiel Mendoza allowed 1 run over 4 frames, while LHP Josh Reagan permitted 1 run in 3 innings of relief to earn the victory for Vermont, and RHP Charlie Cerny got the final six outs for the Lake Monsters to secure the save on Monday.
