RHP Nate Long turned in another solid start for the RockHounds on Thursday, allowing 2 runs on just 5 hits and striking out 7 over 8 innings of work to earn his 6th win, while RHP Seth Frankoff got the final 3 outs for his 11th save. Catcher Beau Taylor had a pair of doubles and drove in 2 of the Hounds’ 3 runs, while second baseman Conner Crumbliss singled and doubled, and outfielder Billy Burns had 2 hits and stole his 26th base for Midland.

RHP Josh Lindblom had his second straight rocky start for the River Cats on Thursday, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, on 9 hits over 5 innings of work, but he still ended up exiting the game with a 1-run lead. RHP Jose Flores came on to give up 3 runs in the 6th to take the loss. Outfielder Shane Peterson had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, while outfielder Nick Buss collected 3 hits as well, and first baseman Daric Barton and designated hitter Nate Freiman a pair of hits apiece and each drove in a run for the River Cats.

RHP Tim Atherton had a rough start for Stockton on Thursday, allowing 8 runs on 10 hits over 4 innings to take his 2nd loss, while LHP Omar Duran gave up 1 run in 2 innings of relief, and RHP Austin House tossed 2 scoreless innings in the loss. Second baseman Chad Pinder singled and hit a 2-run homer, while first baseman Matt Olson singled and slugged a solo shot, and third baseman Ryon Healy had a pair of doubles for the Ports. In other news, it was announced on Thursday that rehabbing shortstop Addison Russell will be returning to Stockton while he works himself back into shape, with his first game scheduled for this Sunday vs. High Desert.

RHP Lou Trivino had his third straight shaky start for the Snappers, allowing 7 runs on 7 hits over 5 2/3 innings, but he still ended up walking away with his 4th win on Thursday. RHP Sam Bragg struck out 2 in 2 2/3 perfect innings of relief to earn his 3rd save. Designated hitter Tyler Marincov singled, homered, stole a base and drove in 3 runs, while outfielder Jaycob Brugman singled and drove in a pair. Outfielder Herschel Powell reached base 4 times – on 3 walks and a single – and shortstop Melvin Mercedes and outfielder B.J. Boyd had a pair of hits apiece for the Snappers.
