Third baseman Scott Moore collected 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and drove in a pair of runs for the River Cats.

With the game tied in the bottom of the 10th inning, outfielder John Wooten hit his 14th home run to provide the walk-off win for the Snappers on Wednesday. Starter Andres Avila allowed 2 runs on 8 hits over 5 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Nolan Sanburn contributed 2 scoreless innings of relief in his debut for the Snappers, and RHP Tyler Vail tossed a pair of scoreless innings to earn the win.

19-year-old third baseman A.J. Kubala hit a grand slam in the 2nd inning to provide all the runs the A’s would need on Wednesday, but outfielder Justin Higley and second baseman Joe Bennie then followed with homers of their own to pile on in the 2nd. Starter Trey Barham struck out 5 in 2 scoreless innings of work, while RHP Ronald Herrera allowed just 1 unearned run and struck out 6 in 4 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win for the A’s.
