Starter Sean Murphy had another solid outing for the RockHounds on Wednesday, allowing just 2 hits over 6 scoreless innings to earn the win. Outfielder D’Arby Myers, catcher Beau Taylor and first baseman Anthony Aliotti each drove in a pair of runs, while outfielder Chad Oberacker and designated hitter Jake Goebbert contributed 3 hits apiece for Midland.

Starter Tanner Peters delivered an impressive outing for Stockton on Wednesday, enabling the Ports to win with just 3 hits on the night. Peters allowed just 1 run and struck out 10 over 8 innings to earn his 3rd win, while RHP Brett Hunter got the final 3 outs to pick up his 1st save. Outfielder Myrio Richard had the big blast for Stockton, hitting his 1st home run in the bottom of the 8th inning to break a 1-1 tie and ensure the victory for both Peters and the Ports.

Starter Raul Alcantara allowed 5 runs, 4 earned, on 10 hits in 4 innings of work on Wednesday. Designated hitter Chad Lewis hit a 2-run homer, his 1st, for Beloit, while outfielders John Wooten and Brett Vertigan contributed a pair of hit apiece, and second baseman Chris Bostick doubled in a run in the 9th to send the game to extra innings. But LHP Chris Lamb gave up a run in the bottom of the 10th to take the loss.
