Worth Noting: Starter Brad Peacock had a strong outing for Sacramento on Thursday, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 7 over 6 innings to earn his 11th win. Right-hander Jeremy Accardo tossed 1 scoreless inning of relief in his debut for the River Cats, while designated hitter Kila Ka’aihue clubbed a 2-run homer in the win.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Conner Crumbliss had a career night for Midland on Thursday. Despite the fact that the leadoff hitter had only 5 home runs on the season, he blasted 3 homers, including a grand slam, and drove in 7 runs in the first multi-homer game of his career on Thursday night. Outfielder Jeremy Barfield also hit a grand slam in the game, while starter Fabio Castro had a solid outing, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit while striking out 8 over 5 innings to earn his 2nd win for the RockHounds.

The right-hander surrendered 3 home runs and 6 runs, 5 earned, while striking out 8 in 4 2/3 innings to take his 7th loss. First baseman A.J. Kirby-Jones hit his 3rd home run in the last 2 days in the loss.

This year’s 6th-round draft pick, right-hander Seth Streich, followed up by striking out 3 in 3 scoreless and hitless innings to earn his 3rd win for Vermont, while this year’s top pick, shortstop Addison Russell, had 2 hits, stole a base and drove in a run in the win.

Worth Noting: First baseman Michael Soto and catcher Phil Pohl both homered, doubled and drove in 2 runs, while second baseman Melvin Mercedes and third baseman Renato Nunez both collected 3 hits and drove in a pair of runs in the win. Starter Gregory Paulino had a disastrous outing, allowing 8 runs in just 1 2/3 innings of work, but right-hander Lee Sosa picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings in relief.
