RHP Ryan Brown turned in an outstanding start to help Stockton secure its fourth win in its last five games on Thursday. Last year’s 16^th-round draft pick for the A’s, who had recorded 3 saves for Stockton, made his first start of the season and allowed just 1 hit while issuing 1 walk and striking out 6 through 5 scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 1.89 and earn his 1^st win for the Ports. RHP Corey Avant, last year’s 9^th-round pick, gave up 2 runs in 3 innings of work, while LHP Eduardo Rivera tossed a scoreless 9^th to notch his 2^nd save for Stockton. Catcher Cole Conn had 3 hits, drew a walk, drove in a run and scored twice, while shortstop Luke Mann singled twice and walked, and designated hitter Nelson Beltran tripled in a run for the Ports.
