Right fielder Henry Bolte had a big day at the plate to help Stockton snap its three-game losing streak on Sunday. 2022’s 2nd-round draft pick collected 4 hits and drove in 5 runs in the Ports’ one-run win. Bolte singled and scored a run in the 1st inning, hit a three-run homer in the 2nd, singled in a run in the 5th, and then doubled in a run and came around to score in the 7th. And the 19-year-old is now batting .351 in 11 games in May. Center fielder Brayan Buelvas singled, doubled, walked twice, drove in a run, stole 3 bases and scored 3 runs, while designated hitter Tommy Stevenson singled, drew 3 walks and drove in 3 runs. Left fielder Robert Puason singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run, and first baseman Brennan Milone and shortstop Bjay Cooke each singled, walked twice, scored twice and stole a base for Stockton. Starter Dheygler Gimenez picked up the win despite surrendering 7 runs, 6 earned, over 5 frames, while LHP Garrett Irvin threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to post the save for the Ports.

Las Vegas put 15 runs on the board to log its fourth win in its last five games on Sunday. Third baseman Jonah Bride singled, doubled, homered, drew a walk, drove in 3 and scored 3 runs, while catcher Kyle McCann singled, homered, walked twice and drove in 4. First baseman Tyler Soderstrom doubled twice and tagged a two-run homer, while left fielder Trenton Brooks drew a walk and drilled a three-run homer, and shortstop Tyler Wade collected 4 hits, including a double, drew a walk and scored twice for the Aviators. Rehabbing RHP Paul Blackburn made the start and was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits in 2 innings of work, while RHP Adam Oller allowed 1 run on just 1 hit while notching 9 strikeouts over 4 frames to earn the victory for Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Aviators RHP Garrett Acton was promoted to Oakland, and RHP James Kaprielian and infielder Kevin Smith were both optioned back to Las Vegas on Sunday.

Midland went down to defeat in the first game of its doubleheader in Amarillo on Sunday. RHP J.T. Ginn returned from the injured list to make the start and was charged with 6 runs in just 1/3 of an inning of work to suffer the loss for the RockHounds. Midland managed just two hits in the game. Shortstop Darell Hernaiz doubled to lead off the the 2nd inning, and left fielder Michael Guldberg singled to lead off the 3rd inning in the loss.

The RockHounds recorded a win in Sunday’s second game to split their doubleheader with the Sod Poodles. Designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros slugged a grand slam and drew a pair of walks, while center fielder Denzel Clarke singled twice, walked twice, was hit by a pitch, drove in a run and scored 3 times, and first baseman Will Simoneit tagged a two-run homer for the Hounds. Starter Ryan Cusick threw 3 2/3 scoreless frames, while RHP Shohei Tomioka tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to register the win for the RockHounds.
MIDWEST LEAGUE (HIGH-A)

LP: Beller 1-1 / 3.38
The Lugnuts suffered their fourth loss in their last six games on Sunday. Starter Jack Perkins permitted 2 runs over 5 2/3 frames, while LHP John Beller allowed 1 run in 2/3 of an inning in relief to take the loss for Lansing. Second baseman Sahid Valenzuela collected 3 singles, while third baseman Alexander Campos and right fielder Danny Bautista had a pair of hits apiece in the loss.
