Saturday, May 6th: Davidson & Hernaiz Help Hounds Win in Extras

First baseman Logan Davidson and second baseman Darell Hernaiz helped the RockHounds battle back from a four-run deficit to win in a walk-off in 10 innings on Saturday. Down by four runs in the bottom of the 4^th inning, Davidson belted a two-run homer to put the Hounds on the board, and then the A’s former 1^st-round pick from 2019 singled home the tying run in the 8^th. Hernaiz doubled and scored on Davidson’s RBI single in the 8^th and then singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10^th for the RockHounds. Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros and right fielder Michael Guldberg had a pair of hits apiece for the Hounds. Starter Jack Cushing allowed 4 runs over 5 frames, while RHP Charles Hall pitched 3 perfect innings in relief, and RHP Chase Cohen tossed 2 scoreless innings to record the win for the RockHounds. Cohen also made a great play with two men on and no outs and the game tied in the top of the 9^th when he came off the mound to catch a pop-up bunt, which he then turned into a triple play.

To say Chase Cohen was ready for this bunt is an understatement.
