PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE (TRIPLE-A)
Las Vegas Aviators 6
Reno Aces 1
WP: Oller 2-0 / 1.38
HR: A.Allen (1)
The Aviators shot down the Aces for the second straight night on Friday. RHP Adam Oller turned in a strong start, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 4 over 5 shutout innings to earn his 2nd victory for Las Vegas. And despite his struggles with Oakland, Oller has now allowed just 2 earned runs through 13 innings at the Triple-A level this year. Catcher Austin Allen powered the offense by collecting 3 hits, including an RBI double in the 1st inning and a two-run homer in the 3rd. Third baseman Vimael Machin singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a pair, and shortstop Drew Jackson singled, walked twice and scored a run for the Aviators. Meanwhile, the A’s recalled LHP Zach Logue and RHP Jacob Lemoine from Las Vegas and optioned LHP Kirby Snead to the Aviators on Friday.
