The Aviators scored their second straight victory over the Aces in extra innings on Saturday, and catcher Carlos Perez led the way. The 30-year-old veteran singled, walked and slugged a grand slam with two outs in the top of the 10th inning to lead Las Vegas to victory, and Perez has now gone 9 for 17 with 3 walks, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs over his last 4 games for Las Vegas. Left fielder Marty Bechina slugged a solo shot, and second baseman Nate Mondou had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in the tying run in the top of the 9th for the Aviators. Starter Brian Howard allowed 2 runs over 5 frames, while LHP A.J. Puk threw 3 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP James Naile tossed a scoreless frame in the bottom of the 9th to pick up the victory for Las Vegas.
