Las Vegas suffered is third straight loss to Salt Lake on Monday. RHP Daulton Jefferies returned from the injured list to make his first start of the season for the Aviators. And the 25-year-old tossed 4 shutout frames, throwing just 40 pitches, 27 of them for strikes. But RHP Matt Milburn surrendered 6 runs, 5 earned, in just 1 1/3 innings of work to take the loss. The Las Vegas lineup launched three home runs, all solo shots. Center fielder Skye Bolt and designated hitter Francisco Pena both homered in the bottom of the 4th inning, while first baseman Frank Schwindel ripped his round-tripper in the 6th. The Aviators have now hit 22 home runs over their first 17 games this season. RHP Grant Holmes is scheduled to make the start for Las Vegas on Tuesday.
