Designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros led Stockton to a walk-off win over San Jose on Thursday. The 21-year-old tagged a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 1st inning to give the Ports an early lead, singled but was left stranded in the 5th, and then singled with two outs and the game tied in the bottom of the 9th to bring home the winning run on Thursday. Third baseman Gavin Jones singled, walked, stole a base and slugged a two-run homer, and shortstop Sahid Valenzuela singled, doubled and drew a walk for Stockton. 2019’s 22nd-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Jack Cushing, turned in a solid start, allowing just 1 run and striking out 4 over 4 2/3 frames, while RHP Garrett Acton picked up the win despite allowing 2 runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief for the Ports.

The Aces snapped the Aviators four-game winning streak on Thursday. RHP Parker Dunshee delivered a strong start for Las Vegas, allowing 2 runs while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work, and he left the game with a three-run lead. But RHPs Ben Bracewell and Domingo Acevedo gave up 6 runs, 4 earned, in the 8th inning to surrender the lead, with Bracewell suffering the loss. Catcher Francisco Pena tagged a two-run homer, while designated hitter Cody Thomas slugged a solo shot, and shortstop Chad Pinder doubled in a pair of runs but made a critical fielding error at short in the six-run 8th inning on Thursday.

The RockHounds recorded their third straight win over San Antonio on Thursday. Shortstop Nick Allen collected 3 hits in his third straight game to raise his average to .333. The 22-year-old infielder also drew a walk and drove in 3 runs, including the go-ahead run in the 4th inning for the RockHounds. Catcher Kyle McCann doubled twice, drew a walk and drove in a pair, while first baseman Jonah Bride singled, walked twice and scored a run, and third baseman Jeremy Eierman singled, doubled and drove in a run for the RockHounds. Starting pitcher Bryce Conley gave up 3 runs over 5 frames to pick up the win, while RHP Zach Jackson pitched a perfect 9th to secure his 2nd save for Midland.

The Dragons snapped the Lugnuts four-game winning streak on Thursday. Starter Shohei Tomioka gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of work to suffer the loss for Lansing. But 23-year-old Cuban RHP Richard Guasch was solid in relief, giving up 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 6 over 4 frames for the Lugnuts. Designated hitter Austin Beck singled, walked and struck out 3 times, while left fielder Jake Suddleson was hit by a pitch and singled in Lansing’s first run in the loss.
Richard Guasch allows a solo homer to José Tello, but ends the inning partnering with catcher Jared McDonald on a sweet strike 'im out, throw 'im out double play.
