A’s Prospect AFL Highlights
(October 7 – October 13)

Monday, September 7th:
No games scheduled.

Tuesday, October 8th:
Second baseman Nick Allen went 1 for 3, while left fielder Greg Deichmann went 0 for 4, and RHP Jesus Zambrano allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in 1 inning of relief as Mesa lost 6-1 on Tuesday.

Wednesday, October 9th:
Right fielder Greg Deichmann went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a walk, a stolen base and 3 RBIs, while first baseman Alfonso Rivas went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, a walk and 2 RBIs, and RHP Brady Feigl struck out 3 in 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief as Mesa lost 12-10 in 10 innings on Wednesday.

Thursday, October 10th:
LHP Jhenderson Hurtado struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings of relief as Mesa won 9-3 on Thursday.

Friday, October 11th:
Left fielder Greg Deichmann went 1 for 3 with his league-leading 7^th home run, while first baseman Alfonso Rivas went 2 for 3 with a double and drove in a run, and shortstop Nick Allen went 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts. Starter Daniel Gossett threw 3 scoreless and hitless innings, and RHP Jesus Zambrano tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief to earn the save in Mesa’s 3-2 win on Friday.

Saturday, October 12th:
Designated hitter Greg Deichmann went 0 for 3 with 2 strikeouts as the AFL East bested the AFL West 4-2 in the AFL Fall Stars Game on Saturday.

Sunday, October 13th:
No games scheduled.
