After putting 20 runs on the board on Friday, Las Vegas came back to score 11 runs on Saturday to take its second straight from El Paso. First baseman Seth Brown collected 3 hits, including a pair of home runs, both two-run shots, to lift his team-leading home run total to 25. And Brown has now belted 4 home runs in his last 3 games for the Aviators. Center fielder Dustin Fowler singled, homered and drove in 3 runs, while right fielder Mark Payton singled and slugged a solo shot. Shortstop Jorge Mateo reached base 6 times by singling, doubling and drawing 4 walks, and designated hitter Stephen Piscotty went 1 for 6 in his first rehab appearance with Las Vegas. RHP Parker Dunshee delivered a solid start, allowing just 1 run while striking out 6 over 5 frames to earn his 3rd victory for Vegas. RHP Jharel Cotton gave up 1 run on 3 hits, including a home run, while striking out 4 in 1 2/3 innings of relief for the Aviators.

Starter Matt Milburn was charged with 7 runs over 3 2/3 innings of work to take the loss, while shortstop Edwin Diaz singled and doubled for Midland in the loss. In other news, RockHounds RHP Angel Duno was reassigned to Stockton and RHP Wandisson Charles was promoted from the Ports to the RockHounds on Saturday.

After being shut out on Friday, Stockton scored seven runs to best the Quakes on Saturday. Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros hit his team-leading 15th home run, a two-run shot, drew his team-high 61st walk, and tallied his team-best 16th stolen base. Third baseman Jonah Bride had 3 hits and drove in a pair for the Ports. Last year’s 3rd-round draft pick for the A’s, LHP Hogan Harris, turned in a solid start in his debut for Stockton, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 6 over 4 1/3 frames, while RHP Michael Danielak tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for the Ports. Meanwhile, RockHounds RHP Angel Duno was reassigned to Stockton and RHP Wandisson Charles was promoted from the Ports to the RockHounds on Saturday.
