LHP Tyler Alexander turned in his best start of the season to help Las Vegas complete its four-game sweep of Memphis on Tuesday. Alexander threw 6 shutout innings to earn his 4th win for the Aviators, and the 27-year-old has now allowed just 1 earned run in 17 innings of work over his last 3 starts for Las Vegas. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse collected 4 hits, including a double, drew a walk and drove in a pair of runs, while left fielder Nick Martini had 3 hits, walked twice and scored 4 runs. Right fielder Dustin Fowler singled, walked, drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and then slugged a grand slam in the 9th inning, while first baseman Corban Joseph singled twice, walked twice and drove in a pair, and shortstop Franklin Barreto had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in a run for Vegas in the victory.

Vermont notched its fourth victory in its first five games of the season on Tuesday. 18-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz belted his team-leading 2nd home run, a two-run blast, while second baseman Nick Ward slugged a solo shot, and 18-year-old right fielder Danny Bautista had 3 hits, including a triple, and scored twice for the Lake Monsters. 22-year-old Dominican RHP Rafael Kelly made the start and allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work to pick up the win, while 23-year-old Cuban LHP Yorlenis Noa struck out 5 over 4 scoreless frames in relief to notch his 1st save for Vermont.
