Nick Allen had a big night at the plate to help the Ports prevail for the eighth time in their last nine games on Thursday. The shortstop tripled, doubled twice, drove in a pair and scored 3 runs, and his 28 extra-base hits now lead the league. Catcher Robert Mullen had a pair of hits, including a double, while second baseman Trace Loehr singled twice, and designated hitter Jeremy Eierman doubled in a run for the Ports. Starter James Kaprielian threw 3 scoreless and hitless innings, while RHP Xavier Altamirano picked up the win despite giving up 2 runs in 4 innings of work, and RHP Seth Martinez tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to secure his 1st save for Stockton.

Sheldon Neuse helped Las Vegas notch the victory over Nashville on Thursday. The third baseman collected 3 hits, including a double, drove in a pair of runs and scored twice. Left fielder Nick Martini doubled and drew a pair of walks, while shortstop Franklin Barreto singled twice, scored twice, swiped a pair of bases and drove in a run. Center fielder Skye Bolt had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair, while designated hitter Corban Joseph singled, doubled and drove in a run, and catcher Chris Herrmann went 0 for 2 with a walk in his first rehab game with the Aviators. Starter Tyler Alexander allowed 3 unearned runs over 5 frames to pick up the victory for Las Vegas.

The RockHounds suffered a one-run loss on Thursday. Starter Grant Holmes was solid, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 3 over 3 scoreless innings, but his tandem-pitching partner, RHP Daulton Jefferies, had a rare rough outing and was charged with 5 runs, 4 earned, over 3 1/3 frames, and RHP John Gorman allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in the bottom of the 11th to suffer the loss as Springfield won in a walk-off. Designated hitter Tyler Ramirez drew a pair of walks and hit a three-run homer in the 6th inning to give the Hounds the lead, while shortstop Kevin Merrell had 3 hits, including a double, and scored 3 runs. Left fielder Dairon Blanco singled, doubled, drove in 2 runs and swiped a pair of bases to lift his team-leading total to 17, and first baseman Mikey White singled, walked twice and drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds.

The Snappers shut out Quad Cities on just three hits in Thursday’s first game. Starter Rafael Kelly threw 6 scoreless innings in his first start for the Snappers, while RHP Eric Marinez pitched 1 perfect inning in relief to complete the 7-inning shutout and pick up his 10th save. Left fielder Devin Foyle and right fielder Anthony Churlin both slugged solo shots for the Snappers.
