Despite the fact that the Aviators surrendered a whopping 26 runs on Thursday, Franklin Barreto turned in another impressive performance for Las Vegas. The second baseman collected 5 hits, including a double and a pair of home runs, while driving in 4 runs in the game. Barreto has been on fire this month, going 15 for 22 with 9 extra-base hits and 13 RBIs in 5 games in June, and he’s now raised his on-base percentage to .396 on the season. Designated hitter Corban Joseph hit his team-leading 17th double and drew a pair of walks to lift his on-base percentage to .402, while shortstop Jorge Mateo had a pair of hits, including an RBI triple, and stole a base. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse singled, doubled and drove in a pair, while first baseman Eric Campbell belted a three-run blast, and catcher Cameron Rupp slugged a solo shot for Las Vegas. Starter Jake Buchanan allowed 5 runs over 5 frames to suffer his 4th loss, while RHP Trey McNutt was charged with 5 runs in 1 inning of relief, and RHP Norge Ruiz surrendered 7 runs without recording an out. Designated hitter Corban Joseph gave up 3 runs in 1 inning of work, and first baseman Eric Campbell permitted 4 runs in 1 inning of relief for the Aviators. Meanwhile, the A’s recalled RHP Ryan Dull and sent RHP Daniel Mengden back to Las Vegas on Thursday.

RHP Kyle Friedrichs turned in a strong start to help the RockHounds record their third straight win on Thursday. Friedrichs allowed just 1 run over 7 innings of work to earn the win, while RHP John Gorman tossed a scoreless 9th to notch his 4th save. Shortstop Kevin Merrell collected 3 hits, while catcher Jonah Heim singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs. Left fielder Dairon Blanco had a pair of hits, including a double, while designated hitter Tyler Ramirez tripled and scored 3 runs, and first baseman Chase Calabuig singled and drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds.

First baseman JJ Schwarz slugged a two-run homer in the 7th inning to help the Snappers win on Thursday. Catcher Skyler Weber doubled, while right fielder Anthony Churlin singled and drove in a pair of runs for Beloit. RHP Chase Cohen turned in a solid start, allowing just 1 unearned run over 5 frames, while RHP Michael Danielak tossed 2 scoreless innings to earn the win, and RHP Charlie Cerny was charged with 1 unearned run in 2 innings of relief to secure his 2nd save for the Snappers.
