Stockton shut out Modesto on just a single hit on Saturday to win its third straight. RHP Xavier Altamirano made the start and was outstanding, surrendering a sole infield single while striking out 6 over 6 shutout innings to post the win for the Ports. RHP Jesus Zambrano tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Nick Highberger pitched a perfect 9th to complete the shutout and secure the save for Stockton. Right fielder Jameson Hannah collected 3 hits, including a double, while first baseman Alfonso Rivas had 2 hits and a walk. Designated hitter Hunter Hargrove singled twice and drove in a run, and center fielder Austin Beck doubled in the go-ahead run to break a scoreless tie in the top of the 7th for Stockton.

RHP Tanner Anderson turned in a strong start on Saturday to help Las Vegas win its sixth straight and run its record to 9-1 this season. Anderson allowed 2 runs on just 4 hits while striking out 5 over 6 innings of work to earn his 1st victory for the Aviators. LHP Jerry Blevins tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Ryan Dull pitched a perfect 9th to close out the win. Left fielder Mark Payton had 3 hits, including a double, stole a base and drove in a run, while shortstop Jorge Mateo singled twice, swiped a pair of bases and drove in a run. Right fielder Skye Bolt had a pair of hits, including a double, stole a base and scored twice, and center fielder Franklin Barreto singled, walked and stole a base for Vegas in the victory.

RHP Matt Milburn delivered a solid start on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to keep Midland from dropping its third straight to Frisco. Milburn allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work and left the game with a two-run lead, but RHP Trey Cochran-Gill gave up 1 run in 1 inning of relief, and RHP Kyle Finnegan surrendered 2 runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss for the RockHounds. Right fielder Luke Persico collected 3 hits, including a home run, drew a walk and drove in a pair of runs, while left fielder Dairon Blanco singled and tripled. First baseman Mikey White had a pair of hits, and catcher Jonah Heim walked and singled in a run for the RockHounds.

The Snappers surrendered an early lead once again on Saturday and ended up falling in extra innings to drop their fourth straight. Last year’s 11th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Joe DeMers, made the start and allowed 2 runs over 4 2/3 frames, while RHP Reid Birlingmair permitted 2 runs in 2 innings of work. RHP Jaimito Lebron gave up a run in the 8th to tie the game, and RHP Charlie Cerny surrendered 2 runs, 1 earned, in the top of the 10th to take the loss for the Snappers. Designated hitter Nick Osborne had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs, while third baseman Cobie Vance singled twice and drew a walk, and left fielder Payton Squier doubled and scored twice for the Snappers.
