Third baseman Sheldon Neuse helped lead the Sounds to victory in the finale of their four-game series with Oklahoma City on Sunday. The 23-year-old tagged a two-run homer in the 3rd inning and then doubled in a pair of runs in the 5th, and Neuse now has an eight-game hitting streak and is batting .414 over his last 8 games for the Sounds. Shortstop Jorge Mateo doubled in a run, while second baseman J.P. Sportman doubled in a pair, and left fielder Anthony Garcia walked twice, scored twice and singled in a run for the Sounds. Starter James Naile allowed 5 runs, 3 earned, over 6 1/3 innings to pick up his 6th win, while RHP Josh Lucas tossed a scoreless 9th to notch his 4th save for Nashville. And with the addition of newly-acquired RHP Jeurys Familia to the A’s roster, the team sent LHP Jeremy Bleich back to the Sounds on Sunday.

The RockHounds notched just their eighth win of the month to raise their winning percentage in the second half to .300 on Sunday. Shortstop Eli White doubled, drew a pair of walks, drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and scored twice, while right fielder Tyler Marincov singled in a pair, and first baseman Seth Brown singled and drove in 3 runs for the RockHounds. Starter Logan Shore allowed 1 run over 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Joel Seddon picked up the win despite giving up 2 runs in 3 2/3 innings of relief, and RHP Kyle Finnegan pitched 1 2/3 perfect innings to pick up his 4th save for Midland.

Hot-hitting first baseman Sandber Pimentel helped the Ports prevail on Sunday. With two men on and the game tied in the bottom of the 6th, the 23-year-old slugger lined a double to right field to drive in both runners and provide the margin of victory for the Ports. Pimentel also singled twice and drove in another run for Stockton, while left fielder Luke Persico had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a run. Shortstop Edwin Diaz homered and walked, and this year’s 18th-round draft pick, second baseman Cobie Vance, who was added to Stockton’s roster on Sunday, went 0 for 4 and made a pair of errors in his Ports debut. Starter Matt Milburn allowed 5 runs, 4 earned, over 4 1/3 frames, while LHP Pat Krall tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his 2nd win, and RHP Angel Duno got the final four outs for Stockton to secure his 11th save.

The Snappers suffered a one-run loss to Dayton on Sunday. RHP Wyatt Marks turned in his fourth straight quality start for the Snappers, allowing just 1 run while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work, and he left with the game a 1-1 tie. RHP Seth Martinez threw 3 innings in relief but gave up the winning run in the top of the 8th to suffer his 2nd loss for the Snappers. First baseman Jack Meggs singled twice and stole a base, while designated hitter Hunter Hargrove singled and drew a walk, and center fielder Mickey McDonald singled, stole a base and scored the Snappers’ sole run in the loss.

The Lake Monsters lost their third straight as Hudson Valley completed the sweep of their three-game series on Sunday. This year’s 14th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Gus Varland, made the start and tossed 2 scoreless innings, while 21-year-old Dominican RHP Rafel Kelly took over and was solid in relief, allowing just 1 run and striking out 7 over 6 innings of work. But this year’s 10th-round pick, RHP Clark Cota, gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 9th to suffer the loss as Hudson Valley won in a walk-off. This year’s 4th-roud pick, designated hitter Alfonso Rivas, had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, while 20th-round right fielder Max Schuemann, singled twice, and 23rd-round third baseman Jonah Bride doubled, walked and scored the Lake Monsters’ sole run in the loss.

17-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz had another big game to help the AZL A’s win on Sunday. Diaz drilled a three-run homer and tripled in the tying run, and the teen currently leads the team in hits while boasting a .342 batting average. This year’s 8th-round draft pick for the A’s, designated hitter JJ Schwarz, singled, walked twice, scored twice and drove in a run, while 18-year-old Dominican center fielder Kevin Richards singled and tripled in a pair, and 19-year-old Venezuelan right fielder Rafael Rincones drew a walk and tagged a two-run homer for the A’s. 19-year-old Dominican RHP Ismael Aquino made te start and allowed 1 run in 2 innings of work, while this year’s 22nd-round pick, RHP Aiden McIntyre, tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his first pro win on Sunday.
