The Ports exploded for 11 runs on Saturday to win for the fourth time in their last five games. 26-year-old third baseman Melvin Mercedes led the way, collecting 3 hits, including a double, drawing a pair of walks and driving in 3 runs for the Ports. Designated hitter Eric Marinez singled, tripled, walked and drove in a run, while center fielder Skye Bolt homered and walked twice, and right fielder Luis Barrera singled, doubled and drove in 4 for Stockton. RHP Jake Bray was solid, giving up 2 runs over 5 frames to earn the win, while RHP Brendan Butler allowed 1 run in 3 innings of relief, and LHP Brandon Marsonek got the final three outs to close out the win on Saturday.

Starter Frankie Montas struck out 7 but surrendered 5 runs, 4 earned, over 4 frames to suffer his 3rd loss for the Sounds on Saturday. RHP Kyle Finnegan allowed 3 runs in 3 innings of relief, and RHP Jake Sanchez tossed 2 scoreless innings in his return to Nashville from the RockHounds. Second baseman Franklin Barreto homered, doubled, walked and scored twice and is now hitting .400 over his last six games for the Sounds. Right fielder Nick Martini collected 4 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, while designated hitter Beau Taylor singled, doubled and drove in a pair, and first baseman Slade Heathcott doubled in a run as the Sounds fell to an even .500 on the season.

RHP Joel Seddon delivered in a solid start on Saturday, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 5 over 5 frames, but RHP John Gorman gave up 1 run in 2 innings of relief to suffer the loss for Midland. Catcher Sean Murphy doubled in a run, and left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled, walked and scored a run as the RockHounds lost their second straight on Saturday.

RHP Xavier Altamirano turned in another strong start for the Snappers, allowing just 1 run while striking out 7 over 6 innings of work and he left the game with a five-run lead on Saturday. But LHP Josh Reagan surrendered 5 runs in the 7th inning, and RHP Jesus Zambrano gave up 2 runs in the 8th to suffer the loss for the Snappers. Catcher Jordan Devencenzi singled, doubled and drove in a run, while right fielder Jack Meggs singled and drove in 3 runs, and first baseman Hunter Hargrove and left fielder Mickey McDonald had a pair of hits apiece in the loss.
