Outfielder Aaron Shipman doubled, while designated hitter Matt Olson walked 3 times and scored twice, and outfielder Jaycob Brugman went 1 for 4 and scored a run in his Stockton debut. Starter Yeiper Castillo turned in his first solid outing for the Ports, tossing 5 2/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Brugman joined the Stockton outfield from Beloit after Billy McKinney was traded and Herschel “Boog” Powell was suspended. Powell was banned for 50 games after testing positive for a banned amphetamine. RHP Tim Atherton returned to the Ports after making an emergency start for Sacramento this weekend, and RHP Rodolfo Fernandez was assigned to Stockton after being acquired from the Brewers on Monday.
