Prospect Of The Game:

Outfielder Skye Bolt

(2 for 4 / Grand Slam)

Despite another big blast by Skye Bolt, the Aviators fell for just the fourth time this season on Sunday to run their record to 14-4. Starter Jake Buchanan gave up 5 runs over 4 frames, but center fielder Skye Bolt stepped up to the plate in the 4th inning and, for the second time this season, slugged a grand slam. Bolt’s previous blast came just last Sunday, and this one gave Las Vegas a two-run lead. But LHP Kyle Lobstein was charged with 2 runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief, and LHP Wei-Chung Wang permitted a pair of runs in 1 2/3 innings of work to suffer the loss for Las Vegas. Shortstop Jorge Mateo had a pair of hits, including an RBI double, and stole a base, while catcher Beau Taylor singled, doubled and drove in a run, and left fielder Mark Payton singled twice and scored twice for Las Vegas in the loss.
