Outfielder Tyler Marincov had a big night for Beloit on Saturday. Last year’s 8th-round draft pick for the A’s singled, tripled, homered and drove in 2 runs, including the tying run in the bottom of the 6th to help the Snappers snap their 3-game losing streak. First baseman B.A. Vollmuth singled, homered and drove in a pair, including the winning run in the 6th, while second baseman Melvin Mercedes, outfielder Justin Higley and designated hitter Ryan Mathews had a pair of hits apiece. Starter Hunter Adkins allowed 4 runs and struck out 6 in 6 innings of work to pick up his 1st win, while RHP Brendan McCurry struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings of relief, and RHP Bobby Wahl pitched a perfect 9th to post his 4th save.

Starter Tommy Milone had a rough outing for the River Cats, allowing 7 runs, 6 earned, on 8 hits, including a pair of home runs, and 4 walks over 5 innings of work on Saturday. RHP Paul Smyth tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, while LHP Joe Savery gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 8th to take the loss. Designated hitter Shane Peterson had his third straight multi-hit game, singling, doubling and driving in a pair for Sacramento. First baseman Daric Barton his his 3rd home run, while outfielder Nick Buss singled, walked twice and scored twice in the loss.

First baseman Max Muncy reached base in all 4 plate appearances – on a single, a double and a pair of walks – and drove in 3 runs for the RockHounds on Saturday. Left fielder D’Arby Myers and designated hitter Jeremy Barfield both singled, doubled and drove in a run, while center fielder Billy Burns singled twice, walked and stole his 45th base. Starter Chris Jensen allowed 3 runs and struck out 6 in 6 innings of work to earn his 8th win, while RHP Ryan Dull tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Jose Flores pitched a perfect 9th to post his 3rd save.

RHP Seth Streich turned in another strong start for Stockton on Saturday, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit while striking out 7 over 5 innings of work, and he left the game with a 1-run lead. RHP Michael Ynoa struck out 5 and walked 2 in 2 scoreless innings of relief, while RHP Rodolfo Fernandez gave up a pair of runs in the bottom of the 8th to take the loss. The Ports managed just 4 hits on the night. First baseman Ryon Healy singled, doubled and drove in a run, while second baseman Chad Pinder had a pair of singles and drove in a run, and Josh Reddick went 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts for Stockton.

Starter Jose Torres allowed 3 runs over 4 1/3 innings to take his 4th loss on Saturday. 2nd-round draft pick Daniel Gossett and Dominique Vattuone each pitched 2 perfect innings in relief for Vermont. The Lake Monsters managed just 4 hits in the game. Second baseman Trent Gilbert had a pair of singles, while Joe Bennie, getting his first start in right field, walked and doubled in the loss.
