RHPs Tzu-Chen Sha and Jackson Finley both turned in impressive pitching performances to lead Lansing to victory on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Sha allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 3 without issuing a walk through 5 frames. The Taiwanese righty was extremely efficient, throwing just 57 pitches, 42 for strikes and just 15 for balls. Finley, who was making his first appearance since 2024 after missing all of last season, threw 4 scoreless frames in relief to pick up the win for Lansing. Shortstop Bobby Boser singled, doubled, drew a pair of walks and drove in a run, while catcher Davis Diaz had a pair of hits and scored the winning run in the top of the 9th, and second baseman Justin Riemer singled in the 5th, drove in the tying run with a sacrifice fly in the 7th and drove in the winning run on a fielder’s choice in the 9th for the Lugnuts. RHP Steven Echavarria is set to make the start for Lansing on Wednesday.

Las Vegas suffered the loss in the first game of its six-game series in Sacramento on Tuesday. RHP Chen Zhong-Ao Zhuang had a shaky start, allowing 4 runs in 3 1/3 innings of work to take the loss for Las Vegas. RHP Yunior Tur tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief for the Aviators. Right fielder Colby Thomas singled and slugged a three-run homer, while shortstop Drew Swift had a pair of hits and scored a run, and center fielder Zack Gelof and catcher Bryan Lavastida each singled and walked in the loss. RHP Kade Morris is scheduled to make the start for Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The RockHounds recorded their first loss of the season on Tuesday. RHP Kenya Huggins had a rough start in his Double-A debut. The 23-year-old righty issued 4 walks and was charged with 4 runs in just 2 1/3 innings of work to suffer the loss for Midland. Third baseman Tommy White collected a pair of hits to raise his average to .333, while catcher Cole Conn singled and walked, and shortstop Leo De Vries singled and scored the RockHounds’ sole run in the loss. LHP Wei-En Lin is set to make the start for Midland on Wednesday.
CALIFORNIA LEAGUE (SINGLE-A)

Stockton suffered its third loss in its first four games of the season on Tuesday. 19-year-old LHP Alex Barr made the start and had a rough time in his pro debut, allowing 5 runs, 3 earned, in just 1 2/3 innings of work to take the loss. 18-year-old right fielder Breyson Guedez doubled twice, drew a walk and drove in a pair, while second baseman Bryan Andrade doubled, walked twice and drove in a run, and first baseman Judah Morris doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run in the loss. RHP Josiah Romeo is scheduled to make the start for Stockton on Wednesday.
