The Aviators notched their fourth victory in their last five games on Sunday. Designated hitter Colby Thomas clubbed a pair of home runs, both solo shots, and also walked and scored a run in the game. His .704 slugging percentage is now fifth-best in the league among qualified hitters. Right fielder Henry Bolte went 2 for 4 while hitting a three-run homer in the 7th inning. Shortstop Drew Swift singled, doubled, drew a walk, drove in a pair and stole a base, while catcher Brian Serven doubled, walked twice and scored twice, and center fielder Zack Gelof singled, doubled and drew a walk for the Aviators. Starter Gage Jump gave up 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 4 through 3 2/3 innings of work. He threw 74 pitches, 45 for strikes. RHP Jack Perkins allowed 1 run in 2 2/3 innings of relief to pick up the victory for Las Vegas. RHP Chen Zhong-Ao Zhuang is scheduled to make the start for the Aviators when they return to action on Tuesday.
