LHP Brady Basso threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief and RHPs Tyler Ferguson and Wander Suero each tossed a scoreless frame to close out the win. Meanwhile, Serven, who signed a minor league deal in the offseason, led the offensive attack, going 3 for 3 with a double, drawing a walk, driving in a pair and scoring 4 runs. Right fielder Colby Thomas clubbed a three-run homer, while third baseman Brett Harris singled twice, was hit by a pair of pitches and drove in a pair, and shortstop Drew Swift singled, tripled and scored a pair. Designated hitter Henry Bolte tripled in a run and drew a walk, and Zack Gelof, making the start in left field, singled, walked twice and drove in a run for the Aviators.
