Left fielder Rodney Green and right fielder Devin Taylor helped the Ports prevail over the Nuts for the third straight day on Sunday. Green, who was the A’s 4th-round draft pick last year, went 2 for 3 with a home run, drew a walk and drove in a pair of runs for the Ports. And Green has now gone 10 for 23 with 7 RBIs over his last 6 games for Stockton. Taylor, who was this year’s 2nd-round pick for the A’s, slugged a solo shot in the 1st inning to put the Ports on the board, and he’s now gone 9 for 24 over his last 7 games while posting an .831 OPS in 87 at-bats for Stockton this season. Designated hitter Tommy Takayoshi had a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Ports. Starter Tucker Novotny allowed just 1 run over 4 frames, while RHP Jay Dill tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and LHP Riley Huge gave up a run in the 9th but secured his 7th save for Stockton.
