On a day when all four A’s affiliates went down to defeat, third baseman Colby Halter turned in the top performance of the day. The 24-year-old infielder went 3 for 5 with a home run, stole a base and drove in 3 runs, and Halter is now hitting .300 with an OPS of .977 in 50 at-bats since joining Las Vegas on August 1. Shortstop Drew Swift doubled, walked twice, stole a pair of bases and scored a run, while center fielder Junior Perez singled, drew 3 walks, drove in a run and stole a base, and first baseman Shane McGuire singled twice, scored twice, walked and stole a base for Las Vegas. RHP Blake Beers made the start and was charged with 4 runs, 3 earned, in just 2 innings of work, while RHP Jack Cushing gave up 4 runs in 1 inning of relief, and RHP Tanner Dodson allowed 3 runs over 2 innings to take the loss for Las Vegas.
