LP: Morris 3-5 / 5.87
HR: Susac (13), MacIver 2 (7)
Despite the fact that Las Vegas ended up going down to defeat on Saturday, first baseman Willie MacIver turned in the most impressive performance of the day. The 28-year-old minor league veteran had a big night at the plate, going 4 for 4 while pounding a pair of home runs, one to left field and one to right, and driving in 6 of the Aviators’ 8 runs on the night. MacIver has now gone 13 for 24 with 15 RBIs over his last 6 games, and his .366 batting average is best among Las Vegas regulars. Catcher Daniel Susac tagged a two-run homer, while left fielder Alejo Lopez singled, walked and scored a run, and right fielder Nick Martini singled, was hit by a pitch and scored twice for Las Vegas. Starter Kade Morris gave up 2 runs in 3 innings of work to suffer the loss for Las Vegas.
