First baseman Cooper Bowman and second baseman Zack Gelof helped the Aviators snap their four-game losing streak on Thursday. Bowman went 3 for 4 with a double, was hit by a pitch, stole a base, drove in 3 runs and scored a pair of runs, including the tying run for Las Vegas. Gelof went 4 for 5 with a double, drove in a run and scored twice, while third baseman Euribiel Angeles singled twice, doubled, drew a walk, drove in a run and scored 3 times, and catcher Willie MacIver singled, doubled, drove in 4 runs and swiped a pair of bases for the Aviators. RHP Joey Estes had a rough start, surrendering 7 runs through 5 frames, but LHP Hogan Harris tossed 2 scoreless innings while striking out 5 to earn the victory for Las Vegas. Outfielder JJ Bleday was not in the lineup on Thursday, which could indicate that he’s on his way to Sacramento to replace the recently-traded Miguel Andujar on the A’s roster. Meanwhile, RHPs Henry Baez and Eduarniel Nunez, who were acquired in Thursday’s trade with the Padres, were both added to the Las Vegas roster.
