RHP Chen Zhong-Ao Zhuang helped the RockHounds record their fourth straight win on Thursday. The 24-year-old Taiwanese righty made the start and allowed just 1 run on 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5 before exiting after 4 frames, and Zhuang now leads all A’s minor league pitchers with 107 strikeouts in 98 2/3 innings of work this season. Colton Johnson, Pedro Santos, Colin Peluse, Tyler Baum and Shohei Tomioka each tossed a scoreless inning in relief, with Johnson picking up the win and Tomioka notching his 9th save for Midland. First baseman Brennan Milone singled twice and scored the winning run, while second baseman Euribiel Angeles singled in the tying run for the RockHounds.
