On a day when all the A’s affiliates went down to defeat, RHP Yunior Tur turned in the top performance among A’s prospects. The 25-year-old Cuban righty delivered an excellent start, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 6 while throwing 6 shutout innings, and he left the game with a one-run lead. Tur has now allowed just 8 runs in 36 innings of work since his promotion to Midland in June. RHP Colin Peluse followed him on the mound and tossed a scoreless frame in the 7th, but RHP Micah Dallas gave up a pair of runs in the 8th to suffer the loss on Saturday. Center fielder Junior Perez doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while designated hitter Lyle Lin singled, stole a base and was hit by a pitch, and right fielder Henry Bolte went 1 for 4 with a double for the RockHounds.
