RHP Nathan Dettmer turned in a strong start to help Stockton snap its five-game losing streak on Wednesday. The 23-year-old righty allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while issuing 1 walk and striking out 5 through 7 innings of work, and he left with the game a 1-1 tie. Dettmer was efficient, throwing 85 pitches, 56 for strikes. RHP Jose Dicochea replaced him on the mound and tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief, while LHP Riley Huge pitched perfect frames in both the 9th and the 10th to pick up the win for the Ports. Second baseman Max Durrington went 3 for 4 with a double and drove in a run, while catcher Dylan Fien singled twice and drew a walk. Third baseman Bryan Andrade went 1 for 4 and scored both of Stockton’s runs in the game, and C.J. Pittaro drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th for the Ports.
