Center fielder JJ Bleday and catcher Willie MacIver helped lead Las Vegas to victory over Oklahoma City on Friday. Bleday had a big night, going 5 for 5 with a pair of doubles while driving in 2 runs and scoring 3 times. Since being optioned back to Las Vegas the final day of June, Bleday has gone 8 for 14 with 5 extra-base hits and 5 RBIs, and he’s now slashing .439/.477/.707 in 9 games with the Aviators this season. MacIver went 2 for 3 on Friday, was hit by a pitch, stole a base, scored a run and drove in 3 runs, and he’s now hitting .381 over 37 games for Las Vegas. Right fielder Nick Martini singled, doubled, drew a walk and scored twice, while second baseman Alejo Lopez doubled, walked twice and drove in a run, and shortstop Darell Hernaiz singled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Aviators. Starter Osvaldo Bido allowed 3 runs and struck out 6 through 5 frames to earn the victory for Las Vegas.
