RHP Jake Garland turned in a strong start to lead Lansing to a shutout win as the Lugnuts snapped their four-game losing streak on Tuesday. The 24-year-old righty allowed just 3 hits while tossing 6 2/3 scoreless innings to earn the win for Lansing, and Garland has now given up just 3 earned runs in his last 22 innings of work for the Lugnuts. RHP Blaze Pontes tossed 2/3 of an inning in relief, and RHP Mark Adamiak got the final five outs for Lansing to secure his league-leading 11^th save and complete the four-hit shutout. Right fielder Nate Nankil collected 3 hits and scored a run, while shortstop Joshua Kuroda-Grauer singled, walked and tallied his team-leading 15^th stolen base. Designated hitter Jared Dickey tripled and drove in a pair, and center fielder Ryan Lasko singled twice and drove in a run for the Lugnuts.
