Second baseman Alejo Lopez and RHP Mason Barnett helped lead Las Vegas to its sixth straight victory on Saturday. Lopez, who was signed as a minor league free agent in the offseason, went 3 for 3, drew a walk, scored a run and tripled in a run for the Aviators. The 29-year-old infielder has gone 13 for 30 over his last 8 games and he’s now batting .303 for Las Vegas this season. Catcher Daniel Susac singled, walked twice, scored twice and stole a base, while right fielder Nick Martini singled, drew a walk, drove in a run and was hit by a pitch. Shortstop Darell Hernaiz homered for the second straight night, and third baseman Gio Urshela went 2 for 5 with a double and drove in a run in his third rehab game with Las Vegas. Starter Mason Barnett held Salt Lake scoreless through the first 5 frames but allowed 3 runs in the 6th and ended up notching 9 strikeouts in 6 innings of work to earn the victory for the Aviators. In other news, the A’s signed former Arizona RHP Scott McGough to a minor league deal and assigned him to Las Vegas on Saturday.
