Shortstop Darell Hernaiz helped lead Las Vegas to its fifth straight victory on Friday. The 23-year-old infielder singled and scored the tying run in the 2nd inning, homered in the 4th to give the Aviators the lead and then doubled to lead off the bottom of the 8th but was left stranded, and Hernaiz’s 17 doubles now tie him for the team lead. Catcher Daniel Susac tripled, drew a walk and drove in a pair, while first baseman Logan Davidson singled, drew a walk and drove in a run for the Aviators. Starter Kade Morris gave up 2 runs in 4 2/3 frames, while RHP Jack Cushing threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and RHP Anthony Maldonado tossed a scoreless 9th to notch the save for Las Vegas.
