Catcher Daniel Susac had a big night at the plate to help the Aviators put double digits on the board and notch their fourth win in their last five games to run their league-best record to 39-24 on Tuesday. The 24-year-old backstop went 3 for 3 and pounded a pair of home runs. Susac socked a solo shot with two outs in the 2nd inning and then slugged a 418-foot grand slam with two outs in the 8th inning. He also drew a walk and was hit by a pitch in the game and, on the season, he’s now hit 10 home runs in 41 games while posting a .538 slugging percentage for Las Vegas. Left fielder Carlos Cortes went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, drew a walk and drove in 4 runs, while right fielder Nick Martini singled, homered, walked and drove in a pair for the Aviators. RHP Luis Morales turned in another strong start, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 7 without issuing a walk over 5 frames to earn his 2nd victory for Las Vegas.
