LHP Gage Jump turned in another outstanding start to lead Midland to a shutout victory over Corpus Christi on Saturday. The 22-year-old southpaw allowed just 4 hits while striking out 7 through 6 shutout innings to record his 4th win for the RockHounds. Jump has now allowed just 2 runs in 25 innings over 4 starts since his promotion to Midland, and he leads all A’s minor leaguers with 74 strikeouts in 56 innings of work this season. Micah Dallas, Colton Johnson and Colin Peluse each tossed a scoreless inning in relief to complete the six-hit shutout on Saturday. Second baseman Euribiel Angeles went 3 for 3 with a double, drew a walk and drove in a run, while center fielder Brayan Buelvas singled, doubled and drove in a pair. Designated hitter Sahid Valenzuela had 2 hits, including a double, and scored a run, and catcher Shane McGuire singled twice and drove in a run for the RockHounds.
