Right fielder Colby Thomas powered Las Vegas to victory over Oklahoma City on Friday. The 24-year-old slugger stepped to the plate with the game tied in the bottom of the 9th inning and tagged his 12th home run, a two-run shot, to give the Aviators the walk-off win. Thomas also walked and scored a run in the 1st inning and doubled but was left stranded in the 6th, and he now leads all A’s minor leaguers with 12 home runs, 28 extra-base hits and 42 RBIs. Catcher Jhonny Pereda singled twice, doubled and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Seth Brown went 3 for 5 with a double and scored a run, and shortstop Darell Hernaiz singled, doubled and drove in a pair. Starter Jack Perkins allowed 3 runs and struck out 9 through 5 frames, while LHP Ben Bowden threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to lower his ERA to 1.08, and RHP Elvis Alvarado tossed a scoreless frame in the top of the 9th to notch the victory for Las Vegas.
